Turkey's electric vehicle market has reached a new milestone. Karel Kalıp, a leading automotive mold manufacturer, has officially launched the Karea Fit. This compact electric vehicle is the first model from the company's new mobility brand, Karea. The vehicle is designed as a practical and sustainable solution for dense urban traffic. Mass production began in March 2026, and sales are now open to the public.

The Karea Fit is powered by a 12 kW electric motor with a top speed of 90 km/h. Its lithium iron phosphate battery offers a range of 135 kilometers on a single charge. The compact two-seater weighs only 540 kilograms and measures just 2.63 meters in length. It also provides 184 liters of trunk space, which is practical for daily urban use. Charging from 20% to 80% takes approximately two hours using a standard household socket.

Despite its classification as an L7 category vehicle, the Karea Fit includes standard car features. These include air conditioning, electric windows, a rear-view camera, and parking sensors. A regenerative braking system also recovers energy during deceleration. The vehicle comes with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty for added reliability. The battery is separately covered for five years or 100,000 kilometers.

The Karea Fit has been announced at a special launch price of 699,000 Turkish lira. This positions it as an affordable entry point in Turkey's rapidly expanding EV sector. Karel Kalıp currently has a domestic production rate of 32 percent. The company aims to raise this figure above 50 percent within the next twelve months. If the brand succeeds, it would demonstrate Turkey's growing capability in electric vehicle manufacturing.
