Saturn has a very cool moon called Enceladus. It is covered in thick, shiny ice. But under the ice, there is a big ocean! Water from this ocean shoots into space. It goes through big cracks near the bottom. The water looks like a giant fountain!
Scientists wanted to test something exciting. They made a copy of this ocean. Then they put tiny microbes inside it. These microbes live near hot spots in Earth's sea. The microbes grew well in the water! They did not need air to survive.
This is great news for space science! It means life could exist on Enceladus. Scientists want to send a spacecraft there soon. It could fly through the icy water drops. Then it can look for signs of life. Maybe we are not alone!
