Look up at the sky tonight! The Moon is changing color. It will turn red and orange. This happens when Earth moves between the Sun and Moon. Earth's shadow covers almost all of the Moon. People call this a 'blood moon.' It is so cool!

About 96 percent of the Moon will be dark. The red color comes from Earth's air. Sunlight goes through the air around Earth. Blue light goes away, but red light stays. The red light shines on the Moon. That is why it looks red!

You can watch this eclipse on August 27. You do not need special glasses for this. Just look up at the night sky! People in North America will see it best. The whole show will last about five hours. Do not miss this amazing sight!
