Sony has just released a big update for PS5 Pro owners. The update improves how games look on the screen. It uses a technology called PSSR, which stands for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. This AI tool analyzes each image and makes it sharper. Over 50 games have already used this technology.
The upgraded PSSR now works with 11 popular games at once. These include Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Monster Hunter Wilds. Silent Hill f and Dragon Age: The Veilguard are also improved. Players will notice better image clarity and smoother movement. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi called it a more immersive experience.
Sony developed this technology with the help of AMD. Their partnership is called Project Amethyst. The update started rolling out on March 16. More games will get the upgrade in the coming weeks. Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Shadows are next.
PS5 Pro owners can also try this feature on other games. They just need to turn it on in the settings menu. However, results might vary depending on the game. If something looks wrong, players can turn it off easily. This update makes the PS5 Pro more valuable than ever.
