Eva Longoria has a new travel show, and this time she is heading to France. The series is called Searching for France, and it premieres on CNN on April 12. Longoria is not only the host but also an executive producer of the show. She has described herself as a devoted Francophile who has visited France for over 25 years. For her, this project combines two great passions: traveling and eating.

The eight-episode series takes viewers on a journey through several French regions. Longoria visits Provence, Brittany, Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, and of course Paris. In each region, she explores the local food culture and meets talented chefs. She samples dishes like bouillabaisse in Provence and boeuf bourguignon in Burgundy. Two special episodes are set in Paris, where she learns the art of French pastry.

This is the third season in CNN's popular Searching For franchise hosted by Longoria. She previously explored the cuisines of Mexico and Spain in earlier seasons. The franchise has been honored with three Emmy Awards and twelve nominations overall. It was originally launched in 2021 with Searching for Italy, hosted by actor Stanley Tucci. Food and travel shows have become a powerful way to connect cultures.

Longoria believes that food is a great cultural connector between different nations. If more people understood a country's cuisine, they would likely appreciate its culture more deeply. She said that France has defined how the world approaches fine dining. The show was produced by Hyphenate Media Group, which Longoria co-founded. Viewers can expect a fascinating blend of history, food, and personal discovery.
