Police in Istanbul have started using drones for traffic control. These flying cameras watch drivers from high above the streets. The operation took place in the Beykoz district recently. Officers caught drivers who were breaking important traffic rules. This modern method has proven to be very effective.

The drones watched busy roads like Kavacık and Atatürk Avenue. They also monitored the TEM highway connection points carefully. Police looked for drivers without seatbelts or using phones. They also caught riders without helmets and illegal parking. Dangerous lane changing was another common violation they found.

The results of the operation were quite impressive overall. Police identified 97 drivers who broke traffic rules that day. The total fines reached about 225,000 Turkish Lira in all. That is a huge amount of money from one operation. Drones can spot violations that regular cameras might miss easily.

Officials have said that these inspections will definitely continue soon. They want to use drones at different locations across Beykoz. Authorities believe this technology will make roads much safer for everyone. If drivers know drones are watching, they might follow rules better. This approach could spread to other cities in the future.
