Delta Air Lines has revealed exciting plans for travelers in Austin, Texas. The airline will launch its first nonstop flights between Austin and Paris. Daily service will begin on March 27, 2027, during the summer season. This milestone makes Delta the only U.S. airline flying directly from Austin to Europe.
The flights will operate on an Airbus A330-900neo aircraft with 281 seats. Passengers can choose from four cabin classes, including lie-flat business seats. The seasonal route will run daily from late March through October. Through partnerships with Air France and KLM, travelers can connect to nearly 70 destinations.
This announcement is part of a broader expansion by Delta in Austin. By summer 2027, the airline expects to serve around 30 destinations from the city. Delta has also increased its workforce in Austin by 250 percent since 2019. The airline now has more than 900 employees across Central Texas.
Austin's rapid growth has attracted significant investment from major airlines. Airport officials had identified Paris as a top priority destination for years. If more routes like this were added, Austin would strengthen its position as a global city. The new service reflects how growing cities are gaining direct international connections.
