Have you ever seen colors in the night sky? The Northern Lights are a beautiful light show! They happen high up in the sky. The Sun sends tiny parts toward Earth. When they hit the air, colors appear! Green, pink, and purple lights can shine.
Nine US states may see the lights soon. These states are near Canada. They include Montana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. People in North Dakota can see them too. Alaska has the best chance of all!
You need a dark sky to see them. City lights can hide the colors. Go outside and look north at night. The best time is very late at night. It is like nature's own light show!
